Officially the most beautiful beaches in Malaysia are located on the Perhentian Islands. What tourists on the islands rarely get to uncover, is the beauty found inside the island’s only village on Pulau Perhentian Kecil. We have worked with the community here for 6 years, and operate from our community home in the heart of the kampung.
We have worked hard for the local community to win their respect and trust, bringing a new type of tourist to the islands – people who recognise the beauty of the environment, and want to contribute to conserve and enhance it.
Our team building activities on the islands are focused around outdoor activities, voluntary community work and marine conservation – including opportunities to dive. Our community projects include public awareness activities, responsible snorkelling, sea turtle conservation, recycling projects, beach cleans, painting, educational activities through three school clubs ran by F-E, and other projects as developed.
This experience is about community-based conservation, generating sustainable revenue, cultural exchange, education and action – in the most breathtaking surroundings. Spend time with local kids, learn the best snorkel spots, eat local food and contribute to a unique project. You’ll never want to leave.
