Near Yogyakarta in central Java is our fantastic wildlife rescue centre.
Taking in animals kept as illegal domestic pets, to those saved from animal trafficking – the centre provides the best care it can for over 200 animals. This includes 7 orangutans, a sun bear, gibbons, macaques, clouded leopards, crocodiles, parrots and several species of birds of prey. Apart from caring for the animals, the location of the centre is perfectly situated for a number of exciting activities – including visiting Mount Merapi, the most active volcano in Indonesia, cave tubing, and visiting Borobudur, the largest Buddhist temple on earth and World Heritage Site.
